New Plant Enables 600% Increase in Production Capacity for its Proprietary Semiconductor Production Process

February 9, 2010 – Redlen Technologies is pleased to announce its relocation into a new state of the art 30,000 square foot manufacturing facility in April 2010. Located in Victoria, British Columbia, this new facility will significantly expand the company’s ability to support high volume production of its high resolution Cadmium Zinc Telluride (CZT) semiconductors, which are enabling a new generation of high performance radiation detection and imaging equipment.

Having successfully pioneered a breakthrough production process for manufacturing advanced CZT semiconductor material with its proprietary Traveling Heater Method (THM) growth process, Redlen is revolutionizing the performance, cost and availability of solid state radiation detection and imaging – enabling the widespread adoption of this technology for the medical and security markets. The expansioninto this new production facility represents a strategic investment in the growth strategy for the company and its commitment to delivering volume production and performance efficiencies.

The new Redlen manufacturing facility will enable the deployment of more than 300 of its proprietary THM furnaces – a significant increase from its current capacity of 50 furnaces. The expansion of clean room facilities as well as a non-interruptible power system infrastructure are also key features of this new plant.
